The South River Seahawks closed out their season on the stadium turf of the Old Mill Patriots. Once again the Seahawks pressed the offense and attacked the Patriots keeper often in the first half. South River broke through when Katie Sheridan passed to Lauren Zinkl and she hit a hard shot past the Old Mill keeper to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. The second half started with South River getting several shots on goal only to have the Patriots keeper allow the game to stay close with some good saves. The Seahawks were able to push the lead to 2-0 when Samantha Moreland pushed a nice cross into the goal box with Hannah McGlynn taking the pass and firing a shot into the lower corner of the goal. Old Mill was never able to get past the back line of Kayla Carson, Amanda Wijntjes and Allison Criswell to get a good shot on Seahawks keeper, Colleen Wagner. South River controlled the play throughout the game and outshot the Patriots 14-1.
